Yes the biggest beastly bad ass 2 stroke KTM 550 MXC last is last year made 1996. Fresh clean collectible bike many NEW Parts, ust had professional shop spend 10+ hours going over bike. Fresh throttle, able, arb jetting n rebuild, ew Boyseen Rad Valve, cott's triple trees, earings, ith new Renthal 1 1/8 bars, levers, amp; grips. The 1995 KTM 550 M/XC was an interesting machine. KTM designed it be a jack-of-all-trades, equally at home in the desert or on the track. As a result, it was not spectacular in any one discipline. Its motor was powerful, but tuned more for hill climbing than triple jumping.

I've read that the newer 550's,95 and up,have an SEM ignition which apparently wasn't as good as the older Motoplat on the 91 - 94's.I wonder if the ignition is cutting out as the bike gets too hot?I've owned a couple KX500's and a CR500 and ridden a 95 KTM 440exc but I'd love to get my hands on a 550 as long as parts were still available.
